Happy New Year

I don’t know about everyone else, but to me this year has FLOWN by! I took office on January 1st of this year and I can honestly say it has been one of the best experiences I have ever had. I’ve had almost 300 hours of law enforcement training this year but the real training has been working alongside all the folks here at the sheriff’s office and jail.

Everyone in the county should be proud of these folks. I know I am. They all certainly have my respect and I hope they have yours. They work hard and long hours in order to give the best protection and service possible.

2014 is upon us and I look forward to continue serving Boone County. We will continue to place a high priority on training for all our folks here so we can better serve the community. We will also do everything we possibly can to stop the drug problems we have throughout the county. This year we have had considerable success in the drug war and I give credit to not only our staff who have worked tirelessly, but also to other local agencies who we have worked with and the public who have given us lots of tips.

As always, if you have a need or have information about any crime, please feel free to contact us. We are here to serve you.

Merry Christmas and a very Happy New Year!
