Sheriff Danny Hickman reports that the Sheriff’s office was contacted on the morning of May 16 about a male in the Marshall Creek Road area causing a disturbance. It was reported that the male was also threatening to use a firearm to harm individuals.
A Deputy was dispatched to the area where he was speaking with the complainants when the suspect approached him and threatened the lives of the Deputy and family members. Snow attempted to get a firearm to carry out his threat to kill the deputy and the family members and was stopped by the Deputy. The Deputy did find a firearm loaded and ready to use just inside the doorway of the home. The suspect, Doy Burton Snow, age 68, was taken into custody and transported to the Boone County Jail.
Snow was charged with Aggravated Assault on a Law Enforcement Officer, Aggravated Assault on a Household or family member, Terroristic Threatening, Disorderly Conduct, Criminal Trespass and Resisting Arrest. As of the afternoon of Monday, May 17, 2010, Snow was being held in the Boone County Jail on a $100,000 bond.
