Stabbing in Omaha

Sheriff Danny Hickman reports that at 1:41 a.m. on Saturday, May 22, 2010 the Boone County Sheriff’s Department received a call of a stabbing at 15662 Shady Drive in Omaha, Arkansas.  The caller, Darin Lowder, age 43, said he and his brother, Daniel Lowder age 50, were attacked and stabbed several times by an unknown male at their residence. 

 

The Lowder’s said the incident began when one of them confronted the female suspect and questioned her presence at their residence.  The male suspect then intervened stabbing Daniel several times.  A physical altercation between Darin and the male suspect resulted in the suspect cutting Darin several times in the face and chest.  Darin and Daniel Lowder were air lifted to St. Johns Hospital in Springfield, Missouri

 

A brief description of the truck the suspect left in as well as a Missouri license number was given to Boone County. This information was passed on to the Taney County Sheriff’s Department.

 

Shortly before 3:00 a.m. that same day Forsyth Police located a  vehicle matching the description at a convenience store in Forsyth, Missouri.  Two persons in the vehicle were taken into custody and being held at the Taney County Jail on an investigative hold.  The suspects were identified as Joseph Culverhouse age 51 and Ronda Culverhouse age 44 of Cedarcreek, Missouri.  Evidence was collected at the time of their arrests.

 

Follow up interviews of both suspects revealed Ronda Culverhouse was not involved in the attacks of Darin and Daniel Lowder, therefore, Ronda Culverhouse was released with no charges.  Joseph Culverhouse remained in custody and is charged with two counts of Battery in the First Degree with a bond set at $250,000. The condition of the Lowder's was unknown at the time of this press release.
