Sheriff Danny Hickman reports a one vehicle accident with property damage and injuries took place Thursday, July 29 at approximately 7:30 pm. Judith Lott, age 58, was traveling on Cottonwood Road when she lost control of the Dodge Durango she was driving, taking out a mailbox before traveling down the shoulder of Cottonwood. Lott then left the roadway entirely travelling approximately 142 feet through the woods where the vehicle struck a tree.
Hickman reports that Lott was trapped when a passerby heard her calling for help and notified emergency personnel. Ms. Lott was extracted from the vehicle by the Harrison Fire Department and air lifted to St. Johns in Springfield, MO.
Ms. Lott was charged with Careless and Prohibited Driving with Accident, with other charges pending. Her condition is unknown at the time of this release.
