Sheriff Danny Hickman reports that 3 - one vehicle accidents happened over the last few days during the holiday weekend.
Thursday, May 26, Sgt. Reese was dispatched to a one vehicle accident on Hopewell Road. Chelsea Youngblood was traveling east bound on Hopewell Road when she failed to maintain control of her 1990 Chevy pickup in a curve. The right front tire ran off the road causing the truck to travel about 209 feet through the ditch, across a yard where it struck a large cedar tree.
Ms. Youngblood was transported to North Arkansas Regional Center where she was treated. Ms. Youngblood was cited for Careless and Prohibited Driving.
The second accident took place Saturday, May 28, on London Hill Road. Cpl. David Upton responded to the accident where he found that Candida Slechta lost control of her 2006 Chevy pickup while negotiating a curve. Ms. Slechta ran off the road damaging a fence. No citations were issued.
The third accident occurred Sunday, May 29, on Old Hwy 65 in the Omaha area. Cpl. David Upton was dispatched to the accident where Heather Laughlin failed to stop at a stop sign and slid across the highway where she hit an embankment with her 1997 Nissan pickup. Ms. Laughlin was air lifted to St. John's Hospital for treatment of her injuries. No citations were issued and no further information is available about her condition at this time.
