Sheriff Danny Hickman reports that Wednesday, June 22nd, 2011, the Boone County Sheriff’s Office received a call from a concerned father who said his daughter had gone home and found her boyfriend at her residence with a meth lab. Officers from the Sheriff’s Office arrived at 801 Idle Lane in Harrison, to find Rory Nicholson, 23 years of age, in the living room of the residence, with numerous items of methamphetamine lab components near him. Lt. Tom Smith took Nicholson into custody and waited while Narcotics officers completed a search warrant for the residence.
Narcotics Officers form the Boone County Sheriff’s Office and the Harrison Police Department, executed a search warrant on the residence and located twenty-two “one pot” methamphetamine labs inside the residence and inside an outbuilding near the residence. Numerous other items, including a handgun, drug paraphernalia, and other chemicals were also located inside the residence. Nicholson is currently being held at the Boone County Jail for Manufacturing a Controlled Substance – Methamphetamine and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, with bond set set at $50,000.00.
