Sheriff Danny Hickman reports that two juveniles from the Omaha community are expected to be charged in connection with a burglary of the H & R Service Station in Omaha on Friday, July 22.
A report filed by Deputy David Upton said the burglary was reported in the early morning hours and a witness provided information on the identity of the suspects.
Sergeant Marc Arnold later interviewed two of the three juvenile males, who confessed their involvement in the burglary. Although only a small amount of property was stolen, Sheriff Hickman noted there was substantial property damage as a result of the forced entry to the business.
Sheriff Hickman said it was not uncommon for burglars to cause more loss in property damage than in the actual amount of the theft. Hickman also said the investigation is continuing and further charges were expected.
