James W. Massey
Sheriff Danny Hickman reports that on the 7th day of March 2012, Deputy Scott Hornaday was dispatched to the Ozark Humane Society in reference to a theft of property.
Deputy Hornaday was given information that $1,500 in cash was stolen from a purse. During the course of the investigation of that theft, it was learned there was a second theft that occurred Saturday March 24, in which $300 in cash was stolen. Investigator Ryan Watson continued to gather information about the thefts and was told by employees at the Ozark Humane Society that James Massey, age 25, of Harrison was seen behind the desk where money had been stolen.
Massey was brought in for questioning where he admitted to stealing the $1,800 in cash. Massey has been charged with Theft of Property and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. Massey is being held at the Boone County Jail and no bond has been set on these charges.
