Sheriff Danny Hickman reports that on Wednesday, May 23rd, 2012, the Boone County Sheriff’s Office was contacted by Arkansas Probation and Parole in reference to a home visit they wanted to conduct at the Scenic 7 Motel on State Highway 7 South.

Officers with Probation and Parole and the Boone County Sheriff’s Office arrived at the motel and located Althea Atkins, 49 years of age. During a search of the apartment, Narcotics Investigators located methamphetamine, Marijuana, and numerous items of drug paraphernalia. Atkins was arrested for Possession of a Controlled Substance – Meth, Possession of a Controlled Substance – Marijuana, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, and Probation Violation charges.

 Atkins was transported to the Boone County Jail where bond was set at $10,000.  As of the time of this release Atkins has bonded out of the jail.
