Boone County Sheriff Danny Hickman reports that his office was investigating the burglary of the Lead Hill Pawn Shop, which occurred early Friday morning. Hickman said his office responded to the business as a result of an intrusion alarm at 2:02 am. Sheriff’s deputies met with the owner of the store as well as Lead Hill Police at the scene.
Video evidence from the store showed two white males, dressed in “hoodie” jackets and ball caps, break the glass out of the front door and enter the business to steal items inside. The scene was processed for physical evidence and a number of items were recovered.
Sheriff Hickman said his investigators had developed information about the identity of the two suspects and were cooperating with several agencies on the case, as the two burglars are suspected in other crimes in the county and are suspected to be involved in the recent burglary of Godfathers Pawn in Harrison.
