Sheriff Hickman is proud to report that these horses have been found. They evidently got out of their pasture and someone found them and placed them in their pasture until the owner could be located. The horses are fine and have been reunited with their owner.
Sheriff Danny Hickman said his office was investigating the theft or loss of two horses in the Lead Hill community. Stephanie Osborne told the Sheriff’s Department the two horses went missing in late September and efforts to locate them had not been successful.
The first horse is described as a 14 year old Arabian gelding, about 14 hands high, light grey or white in color with a pink blaze on its face. The second horse is a 6 year old Tennessee Walker mare, about 15 hands high, black in color with a sun-bleached mane and a white spot on its right ankle.
Sheriff Hickman said anyone who finds the horses or knows what happened to them can contact Sergeant Marc Arnold at the Boone County Sheriff’s Office or can submit information on line at the Sheriff’s Department website, www.boonesheriff.com.
