Sheriff Danny Hickman reports that at approximately 2:00 pm, Monday, December 03, 2012, Boone County Deputies arrested Phillip R. Engles, age 27, at a residence on Martin Drive without incident. Engles was a subject of an extensive man hunt over the weekend.

Engles was arrested on a Bench Warrant for charges of Attempted Capital Murder, a Class Y felony, Aggravated Robbery, a Class Y felony and Felon in Possession of a Firearm, a Class D felony. Engles is currently in custody at the Boone County Jail. There will be further updates as information becomes available.
