Sheriff Mike Moore reported the arrest of Danielle McDonald, age 33, of Harrison on March 12th for violating the conditions of her release from custody. Sheriff Moore said McDonald was released Friday, March 8th for a medical furlough on a number of conditions, including that she have no contact with the alleged victim in the case she was incarcerated for, a juvenile. The juvenile victim reported having been approached by McDonald on Sunday and having a conversation with her at that time.
Sheriff Moore said when the violation was reported his department immediately began working the case and had McDonald back in custody within a couple of hours. Sergeant Marc Arnold said the Sheriff’s Department coordinated efforts with the Prosecuting Attorney’s Office and the Boone County Circuit Court, which contributed significantly to the rapid response. Sheriff Moore said McDonald was being held in the Jail on $50,000 bond on her original criminal charges, which includes rape.
