On Thursday, July 18th, 2013, the Boone County Sheriff’s Office was notified of a runaway juvenile from the Lead Hill area. Investigators believed the 16 Year Old Female was with Christopher Farrell, also of Lead Hill. The two were believed to be in Farrell’s 2004 Mazda RX7 Red in color.

Information obtained on July 20th, 2013, from the Lead Hill/Diamond City Police Chief Kenny Barnes, was that Shelby Kuykendall was in Kansas City Kansas in a named hotel. Boone County Inv. Craig Loggins contacted the Kansas City, Kansas Police Department and informed them that Ms. Kuykendall was believed to be at the motel.

Ms. Kuykendall was located at approximately 8:30 p.m. and took to the Kansas City, Kansas Police Department to await her fathers’ arrival. Kuykendall was released to her father and brought back to her home in Arkansas.

The Boone County Sheriff’s department appreciates the help and cooperation of Chief Barnes that ensured the safe return of Ms. Kuykendall.
