Boone County Sheriff Mike Moore reported his office investigated a report of rape last weekend. According to Moore, a 22 year old Diamond City woman reported the crime late in the evening on Friday, November 22nd. Investigators and deputies with the Boone County Sheriff’s Office worked with the Diamond City Police Department in searching for and apprehending the suspect, 26 year old Diamond City resident David Carrow. Carrow fled from the scene but was located in nearby woods and taken into custody about 11:30 pm Friday night.
According to an affidavit filed by Sergeant Marc Arnold, Carrow is believed to be responsible for the rape of the young woman as well as threatening and beating a male member of her household the same evening. David Carrow was charged with Rape, Terroristic Threatening 1st Degree and Battery 3rd Degree. He was being held in the Boone County Jail as of Tuesday morning with a bond of $100,000.00. Although investigators are still gathering information, no further arrests are anticipated.
