Sheriff Mike Moore reports that on Thursday, August 7th, 2014 the Boone County Sheriff’s Office Narcotics Division received a call from a local property owner in reference to marijuana being grown on his property. Officers with the Sheriff’s Department, the 14th Judicial District Drug Task Force and the Harrison Police Department went to the property located in north central Boone County.
Investigators located approximately 1100 marijuana plants growing in a remote location on the property. These plants were removed from the property and taken to the Sheriff’s Office where the plants were destroyed.
