Valentine’s Day Shooting Incident

On February 14, 2017 Boone County Deputies responded to a residence on Norvell Drive in reference to a report of shots being fired.  Billy Ray Evans, 62 of Harrison was arrested in connection to the shooting involving an on-going dispute with a family member.  Officers arrived on scene determined that Evans had shot at the family member as they were driving down Norvell Drive.   The victim was not injured in the shooting but bullet holes were observed in the vehicle.  Upon investigation into the incident statements were obtained along with witnesses accounts of the events which led to the arrest of Evans.   Evans was taken into custody without incident.   Evans admitted to investigators to firing the firearm at the victim  and has been charged with committing a terroristic act with a bond set at $100,000.  At the time of this release Evans is still incarcerated at the Boone County jail.
